Mountain food with a fusion twist
At Stafelalp, we’re in love with traditional mountain food… so much that we’re combining old and new to come up with new classics. That’s probably why our menu (and the hot chocolate) is pretty famous among skiers, snowboarders and hikers. How does a Rösti Stafelalp made with caramelised onion and apple, topped with barbecue pulled pork and sour cream sound?

Originally built as an exclusive mountain hut (imagine having that view), Stafelalp changed into a mountain restaurant as the skiing industry boomed in Zermatt. Since then, hundreds of historical events has taken place here – from epic parties to a dramatic fire in 2018. Now, we’re reopening ready to make more history. Come by and feel the legend.
The new old Stafelalp
Three years after the fire and moving to the provisorium, the new old Stafelalp opens on 10th December 2021. Now, a new alpine icon has been built along with a brand new menu — containing all your favourites and some new ones of our own. Stay tuned.
